designed to go unnoticed
A humidifier works while you sleep. The film starts there: how do you show an object whose whole virtue is not being noticed?
The answer was absolute black. The product emerges from the dark through the drawing of light across a matte surface alone. No set, no context, no distraction. What you see is pure form: the upper ring, the radial aerator, the mark held quietly at the centre.

project overview
The exploded view arrives as a second movement and changes the register of the piece. Top cover, upper aerator, removable filter, bung and bottom water aerator separate in mid air and reveal the internal logic of the object. Engineering stops being a specification and becomes an aesthetic argument.
A film about a silent object, made with the same discretion it promises.
